The UnderDog Story -
This first of it's kind low voltage flash battery product has enjoyed almost 20 years of production. Nearly 10,000 units were made. Go figure! It was originally introduced in 1989 by John van Beekum from Miami, FL via Washington, DC. Then New Jersey's own Jon Falk, President of Jon Falk Lights Ltd., Inc., and author of Adventures In Location Lighting, took over manufacture and distribution of the popular UnderDog flash battery in 1995.
Dog Gone: The UnderDog Is Now Toes Up -
Do the math. Turns out this unique niche' battery in 'dog years' is almost 140 years old. The DogFather is getting old, too, (462 years old in 'dog years'). I have stopped making and selling batteries, battery kits and cables effective now (September 3, 2008) . . . or whenever you read this notice. Spread the word. Woof, woof.
What To Do? -
Service is all that is left, but only for as long as the in stock parts inventory lasts. Well, service and free advice. Talking lighting on the phone and in e-mail can continue. That's it. If you need service, or need to contact Jon Falk at the padlocked Dog Factory, all the regular methods still apply.

So, that's it. It's been a great run and nobody, especially John van Beekum and Jon Falk ever thought it would go this long. J F - |
